Summer means one thing. Time off school! Which begs the question, what do you do? Of course holidays, seeing family but its actually a fantastic time for young people to explore their own interests outside of the confines of the classroom. This is where we at Moving Waves come in! We are running our Summer Camp this August for parents in North London. We will be taking of Chestnuts Community Centre in Haringey from the 12th of August all the way to the 30th. But why should I consider I hear you cry. Well don’t worry. I am more than happy to chat through the reasons why this year’s Summer Camp 2024 at Moving Waves is going to be nothing short of fantastic!
Summer camps run from 9:30am-15:30pm Monday- Friday from the 12th-30th of August. There will be lots to do. From street dance, ballet, contemporary dance, musical theatre, yoga, drama, art and more. Expect long busy days with lots of energy. Whats more, every day is a bit different so you get to try lots across the Summer!
Join for one week, two or three. Here at Moving Waves, we know that it being a kid is really exciting - and busy! We have flexibility in booking. Want to come for the first week but can only do the final week after? No problem. Or just want some Summer activities before that big break away with all the family. All good! The dates and weeks are as follows.Minimum booking is one week. The longer you stay with us this August, the better the deal gets!

Our facilitators at Moving Waves are all professionals in their fields. From actors, dancers, directors, writers, community artists and more. We choose our fantastic team with a lot of care and consideration. All our facilitators are trained in how to best work with young people as well as bring forward new skills, discoveries and moments of inspiration. Our team is ready and waiting with new scripts, drama games, art activities, musical theatre numbers and dances too. We cannot wait to share what we have been getting up this year at our Moving Waves Summer Camp 2024.
Speaking from personal experience, some of my best childhood memories come from the Summer. Making new friends, away from school in a fun environment. Now as an adult working in community theatre. I feel its an experience everyone should get the chance to enjoy. With groups being split up by age. There is no better time than playing drama games, learning new choreography or making an art project than to make new friends for life. I know that was my experience and I cant wait to see what new friendships get made this Summer at our Summer Camp!
Each day at our Moving Waves Summer Camp 2024 this August like I said earlier each day is full of activities. Mix that in with our expert facilitators. This counts for learning new skills. From performance skills, growing confidence. Teamwork skills and individual growth. This Summer is the perfect time to not only learn something new, dance, drama or otherwise.
