We are Moving Waves, a small company with big dreams to inspire your kid to become a performer. Our team consists of professional facilitators in Street Dance, Musical Theatre and Contemporary Dance.
We’ve already made big waves at N15! We’re now thrilled to expand our services and announce the launch of our brand new dance academy for children aged 4 to ten years, which is strategically located to serve communities in N19, including Holloway, Archway, Upper Holloway and Islington as well as surrounding postcodes.
You can find us at Whittington Park Community Centre, Yerbury Road, Archway, London N19 4RS. With nearby tube and overground stops include Archway station and Upper Holloway, it’s the perfect location for commuting and the ideal place for kids to act, dance and sing their littlehearts out! Operational from the week of September 24th 2023, our academy offers a diverse range of classes from Tuesday through Thursday, ensuring there's something special for everyone!

to unlimited classes over a two-week period, giving your child the chance to explore the full range of what we have to offer. This gives them sufficient time and the perfect opportunity to experiment, discover their passions and experience the joy of Moving Waves Academy firsthand.
Are you ready to let your kids get their groove on or strut their hour upon the stage? Dancing is a great way to release energy and stimulate creativity. It’s good for the body and great for the soul! Musical theatre is a brilliant combination of four essential elements: songs, spoken dialogue, acting and dance.
From the cool and funky nature that comes with street dance, your child will get to feel the rhythm and really move to the beat.
Meanwhile, Contemporary Dance empowers young dancers to express themselves freely, combining fluidity and emotion in every movement. This is where young people not only learn how to dance and engage in an ensemble but also learn to dance to the beat of their own drum.
From Broadway classics to enchanting tales, your child will be immersed in the magical world of the stage. As well as honing their artistic talents, they'll learn teamwork, gain self-assurance, and make lasting friendships.
