Street Dance is a fusion of commercial, hip hop and house style dance moves, aiming to develop rhythm, body coordination and choreography skills. Street dance encourages freestyle, individuality and develops stamina and strength. It's a style that draws on culture from around the world, and can be used in so many different ways. Whether your child is a beginner or an experienced dancer, Street Dance will help them improve their confidence, stay active, and have loads of fun in the process.
Moving Waves is now in it's TENTH year as a Dance and Drama Academy. We have been able to get to where we are today with a lot of hard work from the team and support from wonderful families over the years. We are slowly expanding, after opening our Archway site last year, which has allowed us to welcome so many more lovely students to the academy. We're so excited to be making another step in the growth of the academy by opening our third location in Bounds Green.
Moving Waves is a different type of Dance Academy. Our focus is not on perfection and technique, but on creating a fun and relaxed environment that helps students thrive. Our expert facilitators all have a background in professional Performing Arts, some working professionally alongside teaching. This means your child will always have the very best guidance in their dance journey, while being encouraged to have fun and express themselves. We want all of our students to build confidence, make friends, and develop a love of dance!
Our Street Dance Classes will take place at Bounds Green Bowls and Tennis Club on Thursdays at 4pm (4-7 years) and 5:15pm (7-12 years)
