We have been cooking up something really exciting here at Moving Waves. We love all times of year, but there is something special about the Summer. The sunshine, the longer days and of course the opportunity to learn something new. We had such a fantastic time at our Summer Camp last year. We loved it so much we wanted to make it even bigger and better for young people in Haringey. So we are not doing one, not two but three weeks of Summer Camps here at Chestnuts Community Centre. With two groups, it doesn't matter if you’re 4 or 14. We have a place for you here at Moving Waves Summer Camp 2024!
We will be holding three weeks of Summer Camps across the month of August.

Students can come for one, two or three weeks. All sessions will be held at The Chestnuts Community Centre is located at 280 St Ann's Road, London N15 5BN. A host of our Moving Waves facilitators will be hosting the activities in dance, drama, yoga, musical theatre, storytelling, arts and crafts and more. We’re so lucky to have faciliatiors who are not only highly trained in their artform but who are passionate about working with young people of all ages. Take a look at some of what we got up to last year at our Summer Camp!
Try out all we offer at Moving Waves. Street dance, contemporary, ballet and more. Our Summer Camp is a fantastic opportunity to have young people try all styles of dance, all in one, two or three weeks! Both at our performing arts academies and in our Summer Camps, we also like to encourage young people to come up with their own dances. At our camp last year we had a mix of those who love dance and those who have never tried it before. The end result made for a passionate, supportive group with a lot of fun! This small encouragement can lead to huge results in confidence and leadership skills in young people!
We love all the drama! Well the good kind anyways! Drama is full of all things theatre, script work, devising, the fun games that encourage ensemble work. Our drama sessions are planned as low-stakes opportunities for young people to be brave, be their most authentic selves and try something new. Our facilitators here at Moving Waves are trained actors, directions, community arts and more. They know how brave it can be to join a Summer Camp and encourage the most fun! Fun is our favorite part of Summer. We love to create mini performances, check out some of our superheros below!
Nothing says Summer Camp than a fun craft in the sun! We cannot wait to make masks, puppets and more in Haringey this Summer. Check out some of the makes we did last year. We love art because it allows young people, regardless of age here at Moving Waves to be creative, have fun and make (an organized) mess! We can also use what we made with our other sessions like dance, musical theatre and drama! What is more young people can bring their creations home at the end of the camp so you have a little memory of your time with Moving Waves at our Haringey Summer Camp 2024!
Annnnd relax! As wild and fun we can get at our Summer Camps. There is a power in mindfulness. Learning how to slow down our minds, be aware of our surroundings is such a skill that follows young people for life. We love adding it to our Haringey Summer Camp because it can help young people relax, gain an appreciation for what they have achieved in the high energy moments and leave the camp feeling refreshed! A 10% sibling discount applies when both places are booked together. Because of the ages we offer, siblings with a bigger age gap or none at all are both welcome!

Please note that to confirm your booking, a 50% non-refundable deposit must be paid by the 30th May. The remaining 50% will be due the 1st July 2024.
